Celebrating Our Diversity Fora:
These were a set of three forums that sought to explore and interrogate the impact of diversities on socio-economic and political development as well as the role of young people in fostering peace, reconciliation and cohesion. The goal was to guide youth in demystifying these perceived or real differences. They were structured around three themes:-
- Diversities in leadership and power... focussed on student leadership; issues of ethnicity and ethnical influence on youth leadership; eventually, fostering and promoting accountability and servant leadership.
- Diversities of Religion/Faith... bringing out divisions and differences based on religious inclination and the impact on national cohesion. The various roles of faith based groups in championing for good governance through fostering healing, peace and reconciliation.
- Diversities of Class/Status... Focusing on youth in communities; bringing out issues of divisions in education, class and livelihoods. The existing or perceived diversity in accessing opportunities due to the class differences.
