Diana Sifuna is the Chief Executive Officer of The Youth Agenda (YAA), Kenya’s top Youth Non-Governmental Organization that deals with Youth Development and Advocacy. She is a passionate youth advocate with over 11 years of professional experience in media production, private sector and development sector. Prior to joining YAA in 2018, Sifuna served as Head of Marketing & Public Relations of an international real estate company Lordship Africa Ltd.
Sifuna is a Former General Manager (Kenya & Nigeria) at the international media production company – Vivid Features Ltd – where she managed operations at the Cable News Network (CNN) Lagos & Nairobi Bureaus and oversaw the video production of CNN African Voices & African Start Up CNN TV Programmes aired in 2014 & 2015. For 6 years, Sifuna directed, scripted and co-produced TV Shows and Broadcast Videos for CNN, British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), ABC-Australia, Kenyan Government, South Sudanese Government, Safaricom (Kenya), Wananchi Group’s ZUKU Sports (Kenya), Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), The Kenya Red Cross, Rotary Club, Women Leaders in Action (WLA) and The Green Belt Movement.
A Global Leadership Fellow at Wagner Graduate School of Public Service – New York University (NYU) in USA, Sifuna is also an alumni of Strathmore Business school with a Master in Public Policy & Management (MPPM), a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate holder, a Chartered Marketer with a Professional Diploma in Marketing Communications from The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) – UK and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com) Degree from Kenyatta University. She sits in the YAA Board in an ex-officio capacity and serves as the Board Secretary.
