Anne Waruguru is the Founder of Africa Rising Solutions, a social enterprise that focuses on social justice advocacy initiatives in Central Kenya. This she achieves by engaging in ward level, capacity building programs to Affirmative Action Groups on Leadership and Good Governance, Advocacy against Gender Based Violence and practical approaches to youth and persons living with disability Empowerment, with tremendous impact over the years. In recognition of her efforts, Parastatal News Services which focuses on development and performance awarded her with the2018 International Women’s Day Award –Nyeri County – for being an exceptional woman who has touched the lives of youths and women locally.
She has horned her interaction experience and understanding of Public Management with specific regard to Affirmative Action Groups, while serving in the Capacity of a National Government Affirmative Action Fund Coordinator –Nyeri County (2015 -2018), Regional Land Rights at Kenya Land Alliance and Caritas Nyeri as a Program Assistant. She is well versed in Public Relation Management, Program support, Program Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation, Development and execution of effective-Result oriented Communication and advocacy strategies.
She is a Volunteer Leadership for Life Trainer at several Schools in Nyeri Town and also serves as a Volunteer Youth Governor, Nyeri County. She is a holder of Bachelor’s degree in Law, a Public Relations and Diplomacy student at Mount Kenya University and trained in Senior Management at Kenya School of Government. She is also a Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) Alumni founded by President Barack Obama
