Javas Bigambo is a consultant & trainer with profound experience and knowledge in Devolution & Governance; Change Management in devolved government; Research & Policy Analysis; Transformative leadership and Development Communication; Monitoring & Evaluation; and Capacity building. Bigambo has distinguished himself too as a Master’s in Project Planning and Management, Organizational Development, and an astute public speaker, with a versatile and impressive record as a consultant for local and international organizations.
He is accomplished in governance and development work, a notable trainer with years of experience working and advising various development programs in Kenya and internationally. Bigambo is impressively experienced as a trainer in participatory citizen approaches to devolved governance; Media & Elections, program and partnership development, gender & youth development, HIV&AIDS; Social Research Ethics and Methodology; Training and Facilitation; Management and Capacity Building of individuals and organizations, and developing curricula for participatory methodologies and management of team dynamics.
Apart from being excellent at paying attention to detail, Javas combines lifelong passion for governance and capacity building with extensive education and experience in research and development communication. With a proven track record in research, benchmarking and writing on devolution, development in Africa and civil society approaches to development in Kenya, Javas has earned invaluable expertise in Concept paper development, and proposal writing, working with logical frame works, networking and collaboration with institutions, and policy formulation.
In previous capacities, Javas has attracted and acted custodian to a good number of donor funded projects both institutionally and as a one Off within Kenya, and globally including DFID, EU, Global fund, Mama cash, Kios, UNIFEM, GOK, AMREF, EGPAF, USAID, AED and many more.
Javas sits on the National Advisory Council of U-Gen, a national cohesion initiative of the Global Peace Foundation, Kenya Chapter. Javas is also a Board Member of SLEC International, he is a full-time consultant and part-time lecturer at Moi University, Department of Development Studies, Nairobi Campus.
Mr. Abraham Rugo Muriu is a young Kenyan and has a passion for holistic development. He is an advocate of personal responsibility in the transformation of our society. He has worked at the Institute of Economic Affairs since 2007 where he has done policy research and analysis with a special focus on decentralisation, development planning and youth development in Kenya.
He is currently the Futures Program Officer. He is a graduate of University of Postdam, Germany with a Master of Public Education (science).
Before joining IEA-Kenya, he worked at Focus Kenya where he was involved in policy advocacy and empowering graduates and university student to participate in socio-political action. He has been a key supporter of the work of the Youth Agenda both as a consultant and participant in its programs. Particularly as a faculty member of the Political Leadership Development Program (PLDP), Speaker of the National Youth Convention IV, the consultant on youth engagement in the Kenya Vision 2030. He remains interested in youth development, effective development planning and citizen participation. His pet passion is devolution of government and its impact on service delivery. He believes that every person in Kenya has what it takes to reach their highest potential and that what is needed is an enabling environment.

Mr. Peter Ashira is an Entrepreneur and an Investment/ Financial Consultant. He is the C.E.O of Quest Group Consulting Ltd, the founder of Reshper Kenya Limited, Quest Books Africa Ltd, Quality Science labs (K) Ltd and Quest Real Estate Ltd. Besides having his own entities – some fastest growing in Kenya, he has helped many businesses set up efficient business systems, find their market niche and segment, turned them from loss-making to profits. He boasts of helping hundreds of individuals towards realizing their financial independence if not freedom.
Mr. Ashira serves as a board member at Amazing Grace Academy and Aquity Investment Capital LLC.
He has worked in various executive capacities for several companies such as, Law Africa Publishing Ltd, and Pan Africa Life Assurance among others. Peter Ashira is a member of Chattered Institute of Insurance School of London (CII). He is a motivational speaker and a strong believer of creating wealth ethically thus he is a member of Unashamedly Ethical Movement.
He was ranked 14th best Financial Advisor in Kenya in the year 2011 by AKI (Association of Kenya Insurers). He is a member of (AIIK) Associate and Fellowship Diploma in Insurance.
He is the treasurer and member of the Finance and Audit committee.
Sadique Shaban is a respectable media name. He is a senior sports anchor and senior Swahili anchor with KTN since 2005 to date. He has made a brand of himself by the quality of work in the media industry.
He is a diverse soul with leadership, visionary training and advisory experience at I Choose Life Africa where he was not only a Programs Trainer but a Residential advisor too.
He was also the Executive Secretary at Kenyatta University Travelling Theatre and a volunteer social worker at World Vision.
He is a member of both the Kenya Sports Journalists Association and the International Sports Press Association. He is an affiliate member of the Kenya Union of Journalists.
Mr. Sadique believes in knowledge generation and dissemination for the betterment of humanity’s quality of life.
Linda Bonyo-Mwongela is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and Partner at Bonyo Mwongela & Company Advocates with a speciality in Immigration Law. She serves on the Law Society of Kenya Committee on Law Reform and Constitutional Review and spends her time consulting for various organisations and County Assemblies on Governance and Legislative drafting.
Her passion for Good Governance and Public policy saw her graduate from the Political Leadership Development Programme courtesy of the Youth Agenda and Fredrich Ebert Stiftung. She served ProBono in the inaugural committee that set up the YAGPO programme working on Youth access to government procurement opportunities under the Treasury and Ministry of Finance aiding young individuals and youth groups to formalise and regularise their businesses to access government tenders. Previously, Linda has worked for various non-governmental organisations including Transparency international , The Ombudsman, The Cradle Child rights Foundation, and CLEAR (Christian Legal Education Aid and Research Kenya).
Linda is a member of the Law Society of Kenya, East Africa Law Society, Kenya Christian Lawyers Fellowship, Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA)and the International Commission of Jurists. . Linda holds a Law Degree from the Moi University and a postgraduate diploma from the Kenya School of Law.
Gladwell Kahara is the first Official Youth Delegate to the United Nations, appointed by the Kenyan Government. She studied International Relations at the United States International University concentrating on diplomacy and foreign policy. She was part of the presidential delegation to the 67thUN General Assembly in New York (September 2012).
She was also the Official Youth Delegate to Rio+ 20- UN conference on Sustainable Development, Rio Brazil (June 2012) where she mobilized youth delegates from all over the world to support Kenya’s resolution to upgrade UNEP in Nairobi.
She is the Coordinator of Peace Makers’ International, an NGO that focuses on Peace and Development for youth.
Wambui was a United Nations Volunteer attached at Youth Agenda. She implemented the Get Informed, Get Involved Campaign whose impact was peaceful elections and increased number of youth in political leadership positions. She was part of the Humanitarian Department ‘Wakenya Pamoja’-Team of Musicians formed for reconciliation during Post election Violence. She is the Director- Dove Music Production and is the Youth Representative-Sustainable Development Initiaties Centre (USIU).
She volunteered in the Red Cross from a very young age. Her greatest passion is humanitarian work and the Sustainable Development of the Youth. She believes that a nation that doesn’t take care of its youth does not have a future and truly, it does not deserve one.
Balqesa Abdi is a Young Peace Ambassador, youth and women empowerment activist and a journalist currently working in broadcast media, she holds a Master of Arts in International Studies from University of Nairobi, Bachelor of Science in Information Science from Moi University, Post graduate diploma in project management from Kenya institute of management and currently a student at institute of Diplomacy and international studies pursuing her Doctor of Philosophy in International studies. Besides working in the media, Balqesa has worked as a young person, with many other international organizations including, UN HABITAT information management Unit, US centre for disease control and prevention (CDC) on the Global Aids program, Refugee health program, International Organization for migration (IOM) as a research assistant for youth women and livelihood program. .
Balqesa is one of the pioneers of Eastern Africa Youth Forum which was initiated in Kenya in the year 2011 and currently held annually across Eastern Africa. She closely works with youth across the region to create a platform to discuss matters affecting the youth in the region.
Balqesa got opportunities to attended several leadership, youth empowerment and peacebuilding international conferences in various countries including Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, South Sudan, India, Dubai, South Africa, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Denmark, Norway and Switzerland and has a strong global youth network.
Balqesa’s current efforts to ensure that the youth in Kenya are involved in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) process include planned awareness raising, Workshops to sensitize the citizenry, especially youth and women, as well as the Leadership in Northern Kenya and regions neighboring Somalia. She is a mentor and has a lot of passion for speaking to the young ones in schools and the youth as well as women to foster change, peace and integration. Balqesa took the initiative to bring Muslims and Christians together to create a platform for inter faith dialogue so as to discuss how challenges and perceptions can be addressed to promote peace and coexistence among Kenyans from different faith. She is a mentee of the late icon of change maker, Mahatma Gandhi’s Grandson Rajmohan Gandhi She has spearheaded many campaigns on the fight against FGM as well as gender based violence.
