When a young person gains a voice, is visible, accesses opportunities for growth and is involved in leadership and various national processes and when policies and institutions respond to this young person’s concerns, The Youth Agenda counts that as a major achievement. Through its leadership and other capacity building programmes and through its incessant lobbying for a better and more accommodative world for the young, The Youth Agenda’s Impact includes but is not limited to the following.
- Young people have risen from relative obscurity to a force to reckon with in the country. Policy makers are recognizing the need to include the voice of young people in policy formulation.
- Young people are increasingly shedding the victim mentality and exploring their potential even in the face of hardships. There is a rise in a confident youth looking for self discovery.
- Current leadership is starting to address accountability issues because they know that citizens, especially the youth will demand for it.
- There is access to hitherto sheltered political leadership realm by citizens
- The citizenry can now make informed decisions regarding social, political and economic aspects of their lives.
- The increased visibility of young leaders in the Kenyan leadership landscape is an achievement in which YAA takes great pride. This will bring about transformative leadership which will steer the country towards development.
- A rise in the awareness of human rights and entitlements among citizens has created a whistle blowing culture and a demanding for them and this will reduce their violation.

A Constitution for the Youth
Young people have been at the forefront in steeringthe constitution process- from mass action in the mind 1990's to Bomas, through Kilifi to Naivasha, back to Delta House and finally overwhelmingly campaigning and voting for the new constitution in the referendum.
